Preschool
PCT runs 3 preschools or pre-primary classes in 3 schools

Government schools do not have Pre primary class. Most children taking admission in class 1 are above 5 years and have never been to school. Many skills are developed at a young age. Education for all should extend to the most disadvantaged and underprivileged children.
From 0 to 5 years children develop necessary skills for physical, cognitive and social development. It is therefore vital for all children to attend a Preschool. Preschool is the first step towards entering a world of knowledge and it will prepare the young children for formal schooling. The purpose of Pre-primary education is to prepare children physically, mentally and emotionally for formal schooling.
Experiences in early childhood have a lasting impact on the child's later behaviour. Preschool lays the groundwork for the child's entry into formal schooling.
In the 3 Pre-primary classes in three schools the Trust has well trained teachers to ensure quality education is imparted. Here children play, learn and grow together. The class is a fun place for them to learn and enjoy. Attractive learning material, books, toys, etc are made available to the children to use.
A set syllabus is followed where the children develop motor skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional skills. eg. Stringing beads, physical activities, identifying shapes and colours, enacting stories, etc. They also learn to read and write and are ready to go to class 1.
